Taylor Fladgate releases 1970 Single Harvest Port
Taylor Fladgate Single Harvest 1970, the seventh in the series of limited edition 50 year old Port Wines, is a wonderful wine and an exquisite expression of the art of wood ageing, which Taylor Fladgate has refined over the centuries.
These extraordinary wines age gracefully in the cool cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia where the conditions are perfect to allow the wines to develop the rich and sublime flavours characteristic of a very old Port Wine. The superb elegance, sublime flavour and extremely long finish make them an unmissable accompaniment at any memorable fiftieth celebration.
Adrian Bridge, Managing Director of Taylor Fladgate, commented: “Since we launched the first Single Harvest in 2014 we have seen a growing interest from Port Wine lovers and collectors for these rare tawnies. Port Wine is one of those rare wines, which, after half a century of ageing, produces great complexity and elegance.”
Taylor Fladgate Single Harvest 1970 is ready to be enjoyed. The best serving temperature is between 12 and 16ºC. Presented in the classic frosted bottle made famous by Taylor Fladgate Aged Tawny Ports, it comes in an elegant beech wood box.
