Taylor’s is proud to introduce the 1975 Single Harvest Port, the latest addition to our prestigious collection of 50 Year Old Single Harvest Ports. Aged in seasoned oak casks for five decades, this limited edition release embodies Taylor’s commitment to excellence, tradition and craftsmanship.

Matured in Taylor’s historic lodges in Vila Nova de Gaia, the 1975 Single Harvest Port offers remarkable aromatic intensity, with rich dried fruit, caramel, and spice. Its silky-smooth texture reveals layers of butterscotch, nutmeg, and hints of tobacco, leading to a long, elegant finish of exceptional complexity. An exceptional Port for refined enjoyment, it is perfect for after-dinner indulgence, luxury gifting, or investment-worthy cellaring.

Bottled in Taylor’s bespoke frosted glass and presented in an elegant wooden case, it is a true collector’s item. With limited availability, it ensures exclusivity among connoisseurs and fine wine enthusiasts.

A Year of Historic Change In Portugal

1975 marked a turning point, with the country undergoing profound political and social transformation following the Carnation Revolution. Globally, 1975 saw the end of the Vietnam War and the signing of the Helsinki Accords, easing Cold War tensions. In the UK, Queen Elizabeth II’s Christmas Broadcast was recorded outdoors for the first time, and the Royal Variety Performance was attended by The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh. 1975 saw the release of Bohemian Rhapsody, redefining modern music, and Jaws, which revolutionised the thriller genre. It also marked the debut of Saturday Night Live, shaping contemporary comedy. In the corporate world, Microsoft was founded, paving the way for a new technological era.

DECANTING

This wine is ready to drink and does not require decanting.

STORAGE

The bottle should be kept upright, protected from direct sun light and at a cool and constant temperature.

SERVING TEMPERATURE

The wine benefits from being served slightly chilled, between 12ºC to 16ºC.

PAIRING SUGGESTIONS

Combines well with flavours of figs, almonds and caramel. It is an excellent complement for a crème brûlée or a plate of wild strawberries. It may also be appreciated on its own, at the end of the meal, with walnuts or dried fruit.

TASTING NOTES

Rich chestnut in colour, with a broad amber rim. An elegant, floral, beautifully perfumed nose with an opulent core of wild honey, treacle, tea leaf and a delicate red cherry compote, delivers wonderful freshness. Cedary cigar box aromas, notes of wild rosemary, thyme and a kiss of fresh mint add a discreet level of complexity. The palate is luscious and lifted by a fresh acidity with flavours of blood orange marmalade, dried figs, apricots and rum babá. The finish is bright, lean, fresh and harmonious. A superb Single Harvest Tawny Port.
