Taylor’s launches a Very Very Old Tawny Port to commemorate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III
Taylor’s is proud to announce the release of a rare special edition Port to celebrate the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. Founded in 1692, Taylor’s is one of the oldest and most respected Port houses. King Charles is the 15th monarch to reign during the lifetime of the company.
Announcing the release, Taylor’s Managing Director, Adrian Bridge, stated: “To mark the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, Taylor’s has created a commemorative blend drawn from among the oldest and rarest Ports maturing in cask in the company’s cellars. The Taylor’s Very Very Old Tawny Port Coronation Edition is the perfect wine with which to toast this historic occasion and to wish His Majesty a long and glorious reign.”
David Guimaraens, Taylor’s Head winemaker, explains: “The component wines for this limited-edition blend were drawn from among our finest and oldest cask aged Ports and were carefully selected for their balance and complexity. Decades of ageing in oak casks have given them a majestic power and depth while retaining a remarkable freshness and vitality.”
The Taylor’s Very Very Old Tawny Port Coronation Edition is presented in the classic Taylor’s frosted Aged Tawny bottle and comes in an elegant beech wood box. This limited edition of 1.500 bottles will be available through fine wine merchants.
